Students of the week

Bevil

LaFredrick Bevil, an eighth grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for May 14-18.

"LaFredrick is for me the ideal example to his classmates of a person truly interested in learning," said teacher Janet Edwards. "He is always willing to do his best, even if the subject matter is challenging. LaFredrick demonstrates a positive attitude every single day and offers a smile to everyone he meets. He never complains and never misbehaves. His mom and dad should be extremely proud of him. As his eighth grade science teacher, I certainly am!"

Bevil enjoys participating in both basketball and football. He is a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Youth Choir and his favorite subject is science.

He is the son of Freddie and Emma Bevil.

Michael Fowler, a senior at Jasper High School, has been selected the student of the week for May 14-18.

"Michael maintains good grades in all of his classes," said teachers Judy Popejoy and Lucille Beatty. "He is a band member and has been a member of the tennis team for three years. He is a good role model. He strives for success and hopes one day to be a lawyer."
