Parade ushers in annual week of Lions Rodeo

JASPER COUNTY RESIDENTS lined downtown Jasper awaiting the arrival of the Jasper Lions Club Benefit Rodeo parade Wednesday, May 9.The Jasper Lions Club Rodeo 2007 parade trophies were awarded in five divisions as follows: Commercial:Tractor Supply Company, first; Jasper Nursing and Rehabilitation, second; Advantage Plus Home Care, third. Church: Harvest Church of Southeast Texas, first; Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, second; Pleasent Hill CME Church of Jasper, third. Civic: Lakes Area Humane Society, first; Jazzy Jewels of Jasper (Red Hats), second;Walk for Hope, third.Youth: Outriders 4-H Club of Jasper, first; Brookeland Elementary Student Council, second; Girl Scout Troop 2072, third.Trail riders: Burkeville Trail Riders, first; Lone Star Riders, second;Yo-yo Pen Riders, third.The Jasper High School Band and Twirlers received a trophy.
