Year of hard work earns 4-H awards

The Jasper Community 4-H Club wrapped up the year with an awards banquet last Thursday, May 17.

Maci Allee won rookie of the year; Shelby Griffin won the whole-heart award; Hannah Hensarling won in the community service division; Holly Galvan won 4-Her of the year; Sarah Ferguson, outstanding 4- Her.

Joan Ferguson, adult 4-H club manager, presented Corrie Powell with the Wayne Gilley Memorial scholarship.

Shooting adviser Dru Miller recognized the organizational founders of the shooting team, Tap Ellis, Ty Ellis, Will Miller and Sarah Ferguson.
