Spring Ag and Beef Conference

The annual Spring Ag and Beef Conference will be May 29 at the First National Bank Community room in Jasper from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

The cost is $15 for barbeque lunch and hand out material. Two hours of CEU credits will be given to participants with Private Applicator Licenses.

Guest speakers include:

Dr. Billy Higginbotham, TCE Professor and Extension Wildlife and Fisheries, speaking on how to manage your stock, pond for fish, recreational purposes and pond management. He will also be giving a presentation on the feral hog population.

Dr. Jason Banta, TCE Assistant Professor and Extension Beef Cattle, speaking about economic strategies and profitable advantage to castrating and using growth implants in beef cattle operations.

Dr. Buddy Faries, TCE Extension Program Leader for Veterinary Medicine, speaking about bio-security and foreign animal diseases.
