Faces & Places Shrine Fund Drive The East Texas Shrine Club is conducting their annual fund drive throughout the month of May to benefit Shriners hospitals in Galveston and Houston. Angelina Summer Session Angelina College will hold its Summer I registration at the Jasper Higher Education and Technology Center from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. today, May 23. KCISD free meals The Kirbyville Consolidated Independent School District will offer a summer food service program of free meals to anyone between the ages of one year and 18 years old. The Kirbyville Elementary School, 2100 South Margaret Street, will serve meals Monday-Friday from June 4- 29 . Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11-noon. Archeology Society The Deep East Texas ARcheological Society will meet June 4 at 7 p.m. in the Newton County Hitory Center. Guest speaker will be Richard Donovan, author of "Padlling the Wild Neches." Keep Jasper Beautiful Keep Jasper Beautiful luncheon meeting will be June 5, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Women's Civic Club, 156 W. Cancer control program Jasper-Newton County Public Health District's breast and cervical cancer control program offers women free breast exams, mammography and pap smear. Women aged 50-64 with limited income, who have no insurance, Medicaid or Medicare are eligible.
