Tough Enough boots bring $$

Martha Morian's marketing and co-op classes at JHS decorated a float and boots for the Jasper Lion Club's Rodeo Tough Enough to Wear Pink night.

"At the end of spring my students wanted to make a float for the rodeo parade," said Morian. "We had 30 cancer survivors on the parade float."

"The students then decorated boots with pink paint and other items," said Morian. "The students went to town on them and had a great time."

On Saturday night the float was used at the rodeo while survivors took a lap in the arena. The decorated boots were passed through the crowd to collect donations. Over $1,000 in donations were received.

"Next year we will probably have a silent auction for the boots," said Morian. "Scott Burton, at Baskin's, offered to put a shelf up in his store to sell them."
