Julieta Collvins

Julieta Collvins, 73, of Sam Rayburn, died May 10 at Dickerson Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services were held May 12 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper.

Survivors include her husband Melton Collvins of Sam Rayburn; sons Danny Gueco and Zeniada Collvins, both of Wasila, AK; daughters Socorro Mirtolooi of Temecula, CA, Leonila Gueco of Austin and Melita Rohm of San Antonio and seven grandchildren.

Parvin Hooks

Parvin Hooks, 86, of Kirbyville died May 20 at Timberlake Health and Rehabilitation in Jasper. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral home in Jasper, with burial following at Friendship Cemetery in Roganville.

Survivors include sons JR Phillips of Kirbyville and Jimmy Phillips of La Porte; sisters Finetta Cochran of Bleakwood, Susie Broussard of Port Arthur, Mary Mondello of Muskogee, OK, and Hattie Maselli of Jewett; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Charles Frederick Joachim

Charles Frederick Joachim, 89, of Jasper, died May 14 at his home. Funeral Services were held May 18 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Jasper under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home, followed by committal services in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery of Groves.

Survivors include his wife Pauline Joachim of Jasper; sons Fred Joachim and Michael Joachim, both of Houston; daughters Caroline Eickenhorst of Nederland and Cynthia Abshire of Kaplan, LA; step-daughter Becky Billingsley of The Woodlands; sister Agatha Burford of Charleston, WV; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Claudia Moore

Claudia Moore, 63, of Jasper died May 20 at Jasper Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today, May 23, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Jasper. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Hendricks Cemetery near Rusk at Bula Community, under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Michael Shane Moore of Humble; daughters Lachelle Free of Needville, Kimberly Todaro of Phoenix, AZ, and Jessica Taylor of Daesetta; brothers Joe Johnson and Mike Johnson, both of Rusk, Wayne Johnson of Colorado, David Johnson and Ronnie Johnson, both of Jasper; sisters Linda Hancock and Vickie Nowlin, both of Jasper; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carmen Netherland

Carmen Netherland, 84, of Jasper died May 14 at Promise Hospital in Nederland. Funeral services were held May 17 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Jasper. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

Survivors include sons Dale Netherland of Port Arthur and Rick Netherland of Liberty Hill; daughter Darcelle Netherland of Liberty Hill; one brother; two sisters and one grandchild.

Edron Stark Pangburn

Edron Stark "Tot" Pangburn, 94, of Jasper died May 18 at Timberlake Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services were held May 21 at Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Survivors include sister Edith Richardson of Jasper.
