Praise dancer
MICHIAH MCFARLAND, 5, has been praise dancing since she was 3. Praise dancing is first mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 15:20 when Miriam, sister of Moses and Aaron, danced for joy to celebrate deliverance. Michiah danced for joy at the Miss Ebony beauty pageant in celebration of Juneteenth, the day the Emancipation Proclamation was first read in Galveston, freeing Texas slaves.
