It's a pirate's life for me...
The children had a few guests join them in their reading quests. Kay Breidenthal read "Davy's Dream" and Shari Gunter read "The Wild Thing." As the morning continued Chrys Jeter from C & M Pets came with her Conure Parrot and Jackson's chameleon. The children were even told that if their parents agreed Jeter would bring a goldfish to give to each of the kids, all of them were excited. "Reduce, re-use, recycle," all the kids were singing this as they walked out the doors to go home. "Hazel Jewel Jasper," Patty Shaw, coordinator of Keep Jasper Beautiful, came dressed as a tree to teach the children about recycling and how to keep Jasper clean.
