Foster's work to be commended

Having witnessed the July Fourth celebration in our city park on Saturday evening, I'd like to congratulate and thank Debbie Foster of KJAS Radio for the great job she did in organizing this communitywide celebration.

I don't know how she does it but each year seems to get better and better. After the fireworks display, which was the most beautiful I've ever seen, I went up to the band stand to thank the musicians who came from Houston and I heard one of them say to another: "We don't have that kind of fireworks display even in Houston."

The fireworks were outstanding. Debbie Foster is certainly one of the "jewels" that make up our city of Jasper. She does so much to make this the wonderful city it is.
