Champions photo up for bids

FIRST BID AT FIRST STOP for the Jasper's Champions photo tour is Thelma McCray, while First Bank and Trust's vice president Molly Thacker encourages her. The silent auction exhibit will visit many sponsoring businesses all during July, or you can enter a bid directly with the Chamber online at www.jaspercoc.org.Today, July 11, the display moves to First National Bank and this weekend it can be seen at Brookshire Brothers.

A framed photo of the state champion Jasper Varsity Baseball team can be yours for the highest bid in a silent auction sponsored by the Jasper Lakes Sam Rayburn Chamber of Commerce.

Each member of the team signed the photo. The photo was taken by Michael Love, printed and framed by Hill's Creative Photography, and the auction was conceived by Jennifer Gobert and the Chamber.

The display will rotate among Jasper businesses all during July. Each time it moves, the highest bid to date will be posted. Bids can also be entered at the Chamber office on Milam St. or via e-mail at jasperc@jaspercoc.org.

All proceeds will go towards building a monument honoring the Jasper State Champions.
