Johnson weds Watson in Jasper

Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Tyler Watson
Lindsey Amanda Johnson of Nacogdoches and Matthew Tyler Watson of Nacogdoches were wed June 9 at First Presbyterian Church of Jasper.

The bride is the daughter of Stanley and Rose Johnson of Jasper. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Jeanette Johnson and Conrad and Melba Corley, all of Nacogdoches.

The groom is the son of Gary and Diana Watson of Jasper.

Casey Johnson of Jasper served as the maid of honor. Jennifer and Stephanie Rogers, both of Nacogdoches, Mallari Sayers of Austin, Jenni Roberts of Austin, Jacque Gibson of Amarillo and Kimberly Barrett of Nacogdoches were the bride's attendants. Dusti and A.J. Johnson of Nacogdoches were the flower girls.

Gary and Travis Watson of Kirbyville and Beaumont were the best men. Nick Popejoy of Jasper, Jonathan Godefroy of Dallas, Joseph Rash of Jasper, Brandon Spears of Lufkin and Kenny Hua of Dallas were the groomsmen, who also doubled as ushers. Juan Hernandez of Nacogdoches was the ringbearer.

Carrie Rodgers, Valerie Rash, Rebecca Wood all of Jasper and Brooke Dinsmore of Durand, OK, were members of the house party.

The bride wore an ivory strapless Casablanca gown with alternating bands of fabric at the waistline. The bodice featured beadwork and crystal accents with embroidery repeated on the semicathedral length train. Her attendants wore strapless glass green A-line, floor length dresses with alternating bands of fabric at the waistline. Each carried bouquets of hot pink Gerber daisies.

The sanctuary was decorated with wrought iron candelabras and pew markers accented with ferns and Gerber daisies in shades of pink. Organizer was Carolyn Perkins of Jasper.

The bride entered the sanctuary to "The Prince of Denmark's March" and the recessional was Handel's "Hornpipe."

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Coleman Hall. The wedding trip was to Las Vegas, NV. The couple will make their home in Nacogdoches.
