M.D. Goodwin

M.D. Goodwin, 82, of York, ME died July 1 at Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough, ME. Funeral services were held July 6 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Burial followed at Hamilton Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Janice Goodwin of York, ME; daughters Mary Brannon of New York City and Janet Goodwin of Jasper; sister Evelyn Roach of Lufkin; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

William C. Jones

William C. Jones, 85, of Magnolia Springs died July 4 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Graveside services were held July 7 at Magnolia Springs Cemetery under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

Survivors includes his brother Fred Jones of Zion Hill.

Larry Eugene Matthews

Larry Eugene Matthews, 26, of Evadale died June 30. Funeral services were held July 4 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Burial followed at West Oak Cemetery in Jasper.

Survivors include his wife Crystal Nicole Matthews of Kountze; daughter Justice Nicole Matthews of Kountze; great-grandmother Opal Matthews of Silsbee; grandmothers Louise Matthews of Livingston and Shirley Hankamer of Hankamer; father Lary Eugene Matthews Sr. of Jasper; mother Bonnie Darlene Taylor of Anahuac; brothers Nate Matthews, Christopher Espinoza and Zachary Espinoza, all of Jasper and Ronnie Eugene Gilbert of CO and sister Annie Matthews of Anahuac.
