Ron Barker

Ron Barker, 57, of Burkeville died July 12 at his home. Funeral services were held July 15 at Toledo Baptist Church. Burial followed at Toledo Bend Cemetery under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

Survivors include wife Linda Barker; step-daughter Elizabeth Burns Reardon; brother Bobby Barker of Springfield, MO; sisters Willa Newcomb of Joplin MO, Betty Lou Martin of Toledo Bend and Neta Davidson of Independence, MO and one granddaughter.

Don Crane

Don Crane, 72, of Call died July 13 at Avalon Place in Kirbyville. Funeral services were held July 17 at the Kirbyville Church of Christ. Burial followed at Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

Survivors include his wife Frances Crane of Call; son Bruce Crane of Little Cypress; daughter Cindy King of Call; sisters Mildred Wallace of Port Neches; twin sister Doris Talbert of Rayburn Country; four grandsons and one greatgrandson.

Joseph Greer

Joseph Greer, 67, of Jasper died July 13 at Memorial City Hospital in Houston. Funeral services were held July 16 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Many, LA.

Survivors include his wife Donna Greer of Jasper, sons Gary Greer of Many, LA and Joseph Greer of Orange; daughters Gina Greer of Many, LA and Shannon Greer of Beaumont; stepdaughters Lisa Fort of Pearland and Sidney Tommasi of Broussard, LA; brothers Mike Greer of Coushatta, LA and Donnie Greer of Gonzales, LA; sister Dee Fullerton of Many, LA; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Harold Gene Johnson

Harold Gene Johnson, 70, of San Augustine County died July 14 at his home. Funeral services were held July 16 at Attoyac Baptist Church in San Augustine County. Burial took place at Attoyac Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Evett Johnson of San Augustine County; daughter Connie Wood of Humble; son Perry Johnson of Prescott, AR; sister Mildred Buckalew of Lumberton; brother Terry Johnson of San Augustine and two grandchildren.

Lee Martin

Lee Martin died July 11 at his daughter's house in Vidor. Funeral services were held July 14 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Survivors include his wife Phylis Martin of Jasper; daughters Linda Rumby of Vidor and Beverly Pickett of Leesville, LA; son Lee E. Martin Jr. of Jasper; brother Ronald Bentley of Canadian and three grandchildren.

Cathy Clark Primrose

Cathy Clark Primrose, 58, of Jasper died July 15 at Jasper Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were July 17 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Survivors include her parents Huey and Bernice Clark of Jasper; daughters Vickie Hearn of Jasper, Teresa Stephens of Kirbyville and Shelly Huffman of Jasper; brother Leon Clark of Jasper; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Opal Louise Thompson- Severston

Opal Louise Thompson- Severtson, 69, of Fairfield died July 13. Cremation will take place at Fairway Crematory in Van.

Survivors include daughters Darlene Murrah and Deborah Cox; son Ronald Carrell; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren William Francis Vancour Sr. William Francis Vancour Sr., 76, died July 13 in the Timberlake Nursing Home in Jasper. Burial took place at the Brown Cemetery in Cedar Creek, MO.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Vancour; brother Ray Marges of Tilton, NH; sisters Sonja Cowart of Colmesneil, Marie Callahan of Keene, NH and Anne Morell of Gilford, NH; sons William Keith Vancour of Seldon, NY, Kenneth Howard Vancour and Dennis Allen, both of MA and William Frances Vancour Jr. of Colmesneil; daughter Betty Jean Vancour of Salemburg, NC; step-daughter Wanda Miller of Flower Mount and Mary El Dickey of Woodville; step-son John Scott Toler of Dothan, AL; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
