Donations to 'Nothing but Nets' saves lives

Every 30 seconds a child dies from malaria in Africa, totaling more than one million yearly.

Because malaria is preventable, the United Methodist Churches, Sports Illustrated, NBA Cares, the United Nations Foundation and others joined forces to begin a world wide campaign titled "Nothing But Nets."

It is estimated this campaign could reduce the number of malaria deaths by as much as 50%.

For a donation of $10, a mosquito net will be provided to a family in Africa for protection from mosquitoes.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation provides a dollar for dollar matching grant for all the money raised in this effort.

The Church will forward one check once all donations have been received.
