Courtesy photo LaBoris Bean, a 1997 graduate of Jasper High School, captured first place July 1-5 in a European track meet. Bean originally attended college in Great Bend Canyou for two years before moving on to the University of Oklahoma and majoring in business managment. Bean attended the Olympic tryouts in California in 2004 before continuing his track career overseas in Europe. Bean is the son of Barbara Jones and Raymond Bean.
