Summer food service

Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1942 N. Main, will continue the free summer food service for ages 1-18. Breakfast will be 7-8:30 a.m. and lunch 11 a.m.-noon.

Garage sale

The Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen of Community Church, 740 South Wheeler, will host a garage sale benefit Aug. 16 - 17 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Clothing and houseware donations are now being taken.

Spanish ministry

Tanglewood Baptist Church sponsors a Hispanic Mission, Mission Bautista Calvario in Jasper. Worship services are 9:45 a.m. Sunday mornings and Bible study and prayer services are Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. For more information call 384- 4727.

Men's breakfast

First United Methodist Church hosts a men's breakfast every Wednesday at 7 a.m. in the Frank Ealand Hall of the church. A home-style country breakfast is served along with a devotional message and prayer time. The breakfast costs $2. For more information, call 384-5735.
