Norman Stewart Martindale Sr.

Norman Stewart Martindale Sr. 81 of Jasper died at his daughters home Tuesday July 24, 2007. A native of Jasper he served his country during W.W.II as a member of the U.S. Army. He was an electrician and worked in Silsbee, Tx. for 8 years then was employed in DeQuincy, LA. for 8 years before returning to Jasper 25 years ago. After his employment with Boise-Southern, he retired from O&I as the maintenance supervisor.

Funeral services were held July 27, 2007 at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment at Little Hope Cemetery in Jasper, Tx.

Norman was predeceased by wives Maribeth Arnold in 1982 after 38 years of marriage, and Bernice Marshall in 2007 after 20 years of marriage, and a brother Lamar Martindale.

Survivors include sons and their wives Bud and Nancy Martindale of Silsbee, Tx; David and Cheryl Martindale of Buna, Tx.; daughters and their husbands Judi and John Johnson of Jasper, Tx.; Marti and Dennis McKinney of Silsbee, Tx.; and a step daughter and her husband Wanda and Bill Simpson of Jasper, Tx.; 8 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
