Bert Foster walked away with the trophy for the 11th annual ROTTS (Rayburn Old Timers Tomato Society) contest.

Judges looked at color, size, appearance, firmness and taste, but judges' decisions are not accepted meekly.

After judges announce a winner, all the friendly, genteel retirees engage in shouts, accusations and complaints from the losers.

This was Foster's second win, "hopefully his last" according to Jim Schupick's account.
