Volleyball workouts to begin Monday
Scrimmage set for Aug. 10 in Diboll

Jasper volleyball athletes will take to the hardwood courts Monday, Aug. 6.

New varsity head volleyball coach Casey Murphy will get to see what kind of talent she has at the varsity level when the players return for action.

Murphy said sessions will be held from 9 a.m.-noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday the first week of practice. Jasper will travel to Diboll Friday, Aug. 10 to participate in a scrimmage contest at 3 p.m.

"I held an open gym Monday to see where we were and I kept my fingers crossed," Murphy said.

Murphy said all players must have a completed physical on file with the school before they can participate in practice sessions.
