Summer food service

Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1942 N. Main, will continue the free summer food service for ages 1-18. Breakfast will be 7-8:30 a.m. and lunch 11 a.m.-noon.

Usher day

Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church will hold their annual Usher day Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. with guest W. Diggles and Light House COGIC Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. with guests Ladies in Red.

Garage sale

The Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen of Community Church, 740 South Wheeler, will host a garage sale to benefit the soup kitchen Aug. 16 - 17 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Clothing and houseware donations are now being taken.

Community singing

Prayer breakfast

The United Methodist Men and the Burkeville Ministerial Alliance will hold their monthly "Community Prayer Breakfast" Aug. 21 at 8 a.m. at the Burkeville United Methodist Church. This month's guest speaker will be Eddye Sunday. For more information call 565-4083.

Revival meetings

Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy. 96, 4.5 miles South of Jasper, will hold revival meetings Aug. 23 - 25 at 7 p.m. nightly.

Palmetto State Quartet

Beech Grove Baptist Church on FM 777, eight miles West of Jasper, will host the Palmetto State Quartet Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.

Trinity Baptist concert

Happy Years of the First Baptist Church will have its monthly meeting Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. and covered dish at noon.

Spanish ministry

Tanglewood Baptist Church sponsors a Hispanic Mission, Mission Bautista Calvario in Jasper. Worship services are 9:45 a.m. Sunday mornings and Bible study and prayer services are Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. For more information call 384- 4727.

Men's breakfast

First United Methodist Church hosts a men's breakfast every Wednesday at 7 a.m. in the Frank Ealand Hall of the church. A home-style country breakfast is served along with a devotional message and prayer time. The breakfast costs $2. For more information, call 384-5735.
