Theatre audition dates set "Don't Hug Me" will be the first fall play by the Jasper Community Theater, and the troupe is looking for a few strong voice. "You don't have to be a great singer. Remember, it's a comedy," said Becki Mayhar, who will host try-outs in her home at 806 Denton Drive Aug. 20-21 from 6 - 7 p.m. Mayhar says there are two female singing roles and three males. JCT also needs volunteers to help with other parts of production, such as stage manager, props, set design, sound booth technician and house manager. The musical comedy is slated for Oct. 18-20 and Oct. 25-27 at the Violet Tonahill Theater on South Wheeler. The first play of the season is sponsored by First National Bank of Jasper. |
