Kindell becomes state trooper

Christopher Ryan Kindell of Jasper graduated from the Texas Department of Public Safety's 132nd Training Academy Aug. 3.

"I was proud to be asked to join these troopers on their graduation day," said State Representative Warren Chisum of Pampa, chairman of the House of Appropriations Committee. "I know most of the troopers in my district and they always exemplify the DPS motto of courtesy, service and protection.

Kindell entered the academy in January and completed 1,214 hours of instruction. He covered more than 100 subjects during his training.

Trooper Kindell will be assigned to the Texas Highway Patrol in Madisonville.
