Familiar faces have new name with Community Bank

Community Bank of Texas acquired County Bancshares and seven CountyBank locations in Orange, Jasper, Newton and Jefferson Counties Aug. 1.

Carlos Vacek who served as president of CountyBank will continue as president of the company.

Parsons, who previously served as region president of Texas State Bank and 14 years as president of Community Bank and Trust, noted that the philosophy and culture of CountyBank made it a natural fit for CommunityBank of Texas' goal to expand throughout Southeast Texas.

"Nobody else knows this community better than the people who live and work here. Plus, we're able to bring more services, more choices and more locations to existing CountyBank customers through the strength of a regional independent bank," stated Parsons.

A temporary facility at the Delaware and Dowlen in Beaumont is open during construction of CommunityBank of Texas' permanent headquarters building.
