Eagles to battle Kountze Friday

The Woodville Eagles opened up their scrimmage season Saturday, Aug. 18 at East Chambers.

Woodville Head Football Coach Steve Fentress said he had one simple goal heading into the first scrimmage of the season.

"We're going to get tired in our scrimmages," Fentress said. "That is our main goal. We want to see where we are as a team but we're going to run them until we get tired so they know what it is like to play a game on Friday night."

This Friday, Woodville will take on Kountze in a scrimmage in Woodville.

"It will be a longer scrimmage and we want to get a little more tired with this one," Fentress said. "We will evaluate where we are after that scrimmage and start getting ready for our first game of the year."
