BBQ fundraiser

160 years of service

The Brookeland United Methodist Church will celebrate 160 years of Methodism Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. The church will receive a Texas Historical Marker and celebrate the church's 100th anniversary. Music will be provided by the Rayburn Country Dulcimers. Take loop 149 off Hwy. 96 to Old Hwy. 8 N., church located on west side of road.

Memory Walk

The Beaumont Memory Walk fight to eliminate Alzheimer's disease will be Sept. 29 with registration at 9 a.m. and the walk at 10 a.m. on Crockett St. For more information contact Debra Brozak at 833-1613.

Making the dream

50th senior class

The class of 2007 marked the 50th senior class to graduate from Bridge City High School.
