Owens accepts five pleas District Judge Jerome Owens resolved five cases with plea agreements in court Aug. 24. Christopher A. Tidwell, 17, of Jasper pleaded guilty to he charge of theft and received three years deferred probation, a $1,000 fine, $236 court costs, $166.67 and $2,431.55 restitution, attorney fees and 160 hours of community service. Mark D. Anthony, 27, of Call waived indictment and pleaded guilty to theft and received one year in the state jail. Bessie L. West, 26, of Jasper, waived indictment and pleaded guilty of securing execution of a document by deception; she received two years deferred probation, $223 in court costs, and $1,941 restitution. Stephone B. Rawls, 31, of Call, waived indictment and pleaded guilty to public assault in the third degree; he received three years deferred probation, a $1,500 fine, $236 in court costs, and 160 hours of community service. In a motion to revoke probation, Cheryl Nichols, 44, of Jasper received two years state jail for forgery. |
