Dewey Durdin

Born Feb. 22, 1927 in Buna, TX and passed away Aug. 29, 2007 in Dallas, TX..

Preceded in death by his parents, Neal & Zelma Durdin. Survived by his wife, LaQueita of 49 years; 2 children, Celisa Van Sickle & husband, Rodney; Glenn Durdin; 4 grandchildren, Amber & Joshua Durdin, Erin & Hilary Van Sickle; sister, Bertha Mae Palvic & husband, Carl; numerous nieces, nephews & many friends.

He was a graduate of Jasper High School & Sam Houston State University. He was employed at the Internal Revenue Service in Dallas & Lufkin, TX for 31 years. He was a member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, Dallas, TX; the Adult 9 Crusaders Sunday School Class & volunteered at White Rock Center of Hope. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Grove Hill Chapel, under the direction of Grove Hill Funeral Home.
