Motorama Speedway to host doubleheader Saturday

Motorama Speedway's big switch over to Saturday night racing was a big wash out on Sept.1. Half the heat races and one B-main were completed when a monsoon hit the track causing the 10th rainout of the year.

The main attraction of the Labor Day event was to be a big $1000 take home purse for the pure stock feature winner and a $700 pay day for the limited modified winner.

Those races, the outlaw stock and mod. stock heats, and the rest of the features from that show have been rescheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 8. and will start at 5:30 p.m. Pit gates will open at 2:30 p.m.

The early starting time is necessary because, as soon as those "make-up" races are finished, another complete racing program will follow with all of the regular Motorama classes performing.

Wrist bands and ticket stubs from the Sept.1 race will be honored at the gate.

However, if the competitors from the "makeup show" wish to take part in the 2nd half of the double header (the regular Sept.8 program) then they must purchase an additional pit pass.
