Get informed before casting vote
By RAYMOND DESADIER Colmesneil

With the dire straits our country now finds itself in it is imperative that more people get informed about our government leaders.

I urge all local residents to take a heightened interest in the upcoming Presidential election. Additionally, don't settle for the "lesser of the two evils."

Examine ALL the candidates running and find the one that best suits your beliefs. Sure that candidate may not win, but the better showing he has, the more attention his viewpoints will get by the other candidates.

The best place to start is on the internet. Meetup.com offers the opportunity to join other people in your region who share the same beliefs or candidate as you.

It's a great way to make an impact in the community.

So regardless of how much you like politics, take it from someone who abhors politics - get involved, the future depends on YOU!
