Cowarts marry in Jasper

Mr. and Mrs. Jason John Cowart
Monique Anne Danielle Dowdle of Vidor and Jason John Cowart of Marshall were wed June 30 at Harvest Church in Jasper.

The bride is the daughter of Wally and Vivian Dowdle of Vidor, and the granddaughter of Charles and Vilda Dowdle of Florene, MS, Dorothy Matthews of Waverly, LA and the late Lawrence Matthews.

The groom is the son of Marvin and Gwen Cowart of Jasper, and the grandson of J.E. and Joyce Murphy of Jasper and the late Maxie and Willie Merle Cowart.

Danyel Hickman of Vidor served as the matron of honor. Angela Byerly of Lake Charles, LA, Sara Rose Denson of Fort Worth, Jessica Lovell of Baton Rouge, LA, and Tara Lovell of Vidor were the bridesmaids. Emily and Mary Saucier of Byrum, MS were the flower girls.

Skylar Moore of Jasper was the best man. Misa Arriaga of Nashville, TN, Rodney Henderson of Jasper, Ren Watkins of Deer Park and Brandon Partin of Jasper were the groomsmen. Blake Patterson of Jasper and Charlie Dowdle of Vidor were ushers. Jack Dowdle of Byrum, MS, was the ringbearer.

Mary Silmon, Salena Young, Anne Smith and Ladonna Smith, all of Jasper, and Elaine Villansana of Woodville were members of the house party.

The bride wore a strapless couture gown with a beaded lace corset bodice and a full cathedral ruched skirt. Cathedral blusher veil complimented the gown.

The altar held two 10-foot tall crystal chandelier candelabrums filled with roses, lillies and alstroemeria.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Harvest Church. The wedding trip was to New York and Boston. The couple will make their home in Marshall.
