Students of the Week

Marx
Trayton Oakes, a senior at Jasper High School has been named student of the week for Sept. 24 - 18.

"Trayton is the epitome of steady, sure, effective, no-nonsense giftedness. He is a hard worker, a high achiever, a leader among peers, and a great asset to the numerous activities in which he participates, as well as to JHS as a whole," said teachers Kim Hines and Sharon Atkins.

"He has represented us well in theater, debate, other academics, cross country, Junior

Conner Marx, a seventh grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for Sept. 24-28.

"Conner is an excellent student and already shows great potential as a leader. He is always prepared and I can count on him to help other students in the classroom," said teacher Howard Bailey.

"He completes all assigned tasks and has excellent behvior and manners."

Marx is a member of the Junior High football team and plans to be a part of the basketball team in the spring. His favorite subject is history.

Oakes
He is the son of Terry and Delinda Walker. Statesmen and National Honor Society. He maintains high grades, always has a great attitude and manages to work part time in the middle of it all.

"Trayton is a young man of his word; anything he says he will do gets done, and done well."

He is the son of Deanna Oakes.
