Parker weds Collins

Mrs. Billy Joe Collins
Julie Nicole Parker of Jasper and Billy Joe Collins of Elkhart were wed July 28 at Tanglewood Baptist Church in Jasper.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Melody Parker of Jasper and the granddaughter of Jo Evelyn Cook of Jasper.

The groom is the son of Billy Collins of Elkhart and Carolyn Collins of Corsicana and the grandson of Calvin and Carol Carter of Elkhart.

Lindsay Brown of Jasper served as maid of honor. Jennifer King of Houston, Brandy Dalton of Jasper, Alma Garcia Collins of Elkhart, Brandi Cochran of Jasper and Sabrina Dalton of Jasper were the bride's attendants. Victoria Morton of Jasper was the flower girl.

Weslie Collins of Elkhart was the best man. Stephen Jones of La Grange, Brian Scherff Jr. of San Antonio, Ralph Deffendall IV of Corpus Christus, Jason Parker of Nederland and Jeff Parker of Jasper were the groomsmen. Joel Parker of Jasper and Nathan Boyett of Jasper were ushers. Austin Morton of Jasper was the ringbearer.

Corrine and Carrie Cook of Jasper, Mallory and Abbey Parker of Houston, Lindsey Edge of Beckville and Jaime Kennedy of Bonham were members of the house party.

The bride wore a halter top floor length dress with flower/beading detail on front and back with matching detail on the moderate-length train and lace-up ribbon on back. Her attendants wore a two piece with white halter top and buttercup yellow satin tea length skirt and buttercup yellow ribbon around the waist.

The wedding decorations were an assortment of white toile, white lights and ivy with yellow roses and white daises.

Musical selections were "Butterfly Kisses" sung by Jason Parker and "I Will be Here" sung by Keith and Marcia Cook."

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Tanglewood Baptist Church. The wedding trip was to Galveston. The couple will make their home in Marshall.
