The Jasper Friends of the Public Library will have a membership drive Oct. 5 at the Jasper Fire Hall, 205 E. Water St., from 5 - 7 p.m. Membership categories are student, $5; friend, $10; best friend, $25, and patron, $100.

Cowboys and cowgirls

Texas Medical Enterprises offers free monthly foot clinics to seniors aged 65+. Locations vary. For October, foot clinics will be in the Bean Center in Newton, Oct. 11, 10 a.m. - noon; Woodville, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. - noon; Hemphill, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. - noon; Nutritional Center in Newton, Oct. 25, 9-11 a.m.; and San Augustine, Oct. 26, 10 a.m. - noon.

Texas Extension Education

The Texas Extension Education Association of Jasper County is inviting women to Fall Fest at Curtis Church, three miles West on U.S. Highway 63, beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 26.
