Neels plan honeymoon in Galveston

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Neel
Annette Morton Lauber of Jasper and Mike Neel of Jasper were wed Sept. 29 at Weeks Chapel.

The bride is the daughter of Marcelle Morton of Anahuac and the late Edwin Morton.

The groom is the son of the late Jimmie and Gretta Neel.

Shannan Lauber Holmes of Jasper served as the matron of honor.

Carl Neel of Port Neches served and the best man. Ushers were Ethan Lauber and Jacob Holmes, both of Jasper.

Members of the house party were Jessica Lauber, Meagan Holmes, Lynda Morgan, all of Jasper; Charlotte and Sarah Mathews of Anahuac; and Janice Lyle of Beaumont.

The bride wore a tea length, ivory, satin strapless dress with a beaded overlay. The attendant wore a street length, soft rose color dress with a mandarin collar jacket. The bride carried a bouquet with lime green, pink and ivory hydrangeas.

Musical selections were "Love Me Tender," sung by Shannan Holmes and Rebecca Neel Gates, daughters of bride and groom. They were accompanied by Alex Gates on guitar.

The reception was held at Tanglewood Baptist Church. The wedding trip will be to Galveston. The couple will make their home in Harrisburg Community.
