Craddick appoints Mansour to Economic Development board

Tom Craddick, Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, announced the appointment of James "Jimmy" Mansour to the Advisory Board of Economic Development Stakeholders Sept. 18.

"Jimmy is an accomplished Texas business leader who knows how to build companies and create jobs," said Craddick. "His expertise is essential in advising us on how to keep Texas' business climate strong."

The Advisory Board of Economic Development Stakeholders assists the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office. It collects and disseminates information on federal, state, local and private community economic programs.

"I am honored to be appointed to the board and want to thank Speaker Craddick for his faith in my abilities," said Mansour. "I look forward to working with other members of the committee to bring new businesses and jobs to the state of Texas, and help expand existing business in our state."

Mansour currently serves as Chairman of Grande Communications and is a board member of ATX Technologies, Inc., the secondlargest telematics provider in the world.

Mansour is married to the former Sarah Stephenson of Jasper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Stephenson.
