The seventh annual Walk of Hope to raise funds for breast cancer is this Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Jasper High School Track next to Few Primary.

It begins with registration starting at 7:30 a.m., followed by warm up exercises led by the JISD cheerleaders, and the kick off ceremony at 9 a.m.

Organizer Darlene Nolen says she's looking forward to the "lap it up" pet lap at 10:30 a.m. Nolen's fuzzy darlin' has a pink stroller from "Grandma" to take the lap in style.

Survivors will join the celebration at 11:30 a.m. In case of rain, the walk will be held in the Few Gym.

All proceeds benefit the Julie Rogers Gift of Life program that provides free cancer screening.

Donation forms are available at Party Perfect, the Jasper Chamber of Commerce and Century 21, or call Nolen, 384-8759.
