Golden accepts plea agreements

Several cases were resolved with plea agreements in Judge Joe Bob Golden's court Oct. 4.

Jesse Paul Bryant, 19, of Jasper pleaded guilty to arson and received 10 years TDCJ ( Texas Department of Criminal Justice) probated for 10 years, a $1,000 fine, $236 in court costs, $1,400 restitution, attorney fees and 240 hours of community service.

Elnoice Hartsfield, 46, of Newton pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, third degree, and received five years TDCJ probated for fiv e years, $1,000 fine, $223 in court costs, attorney fees, and two years driver's license suspension.

Johnny Ray Beatty, 48, of Jasper, waived indictment on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and received one year state jail.

Paul Eugene Wagstaff, 48, of Buna was sentenced to 20 years TDCJ on a motion to adjudicate guilt for sexual assault.

Justin Dwayne Smith, 23, of Evadale pleaded guilty to injury to a disabled person, third degree, and received five years TDCJ, and on five years TDCJ on aggravated robbery.

Jerry Lynn Doga, 44, of Buna, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and received five years TDCJ.
