Texas Home Health has found an innovative way to combine National Denim Day with support for breast cancer research.

In fact, they're enjoying it so much that they are going to continue every week in October. Employees who wear denim jeans or shirts donate $5 to the Women's Cancer Programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF).

EIF's program aims to detect breast cancer in its earliest stage, and also funds treatment research and clinical trials.

"As healthcare provides, our employees deal with breast cancer patients and survivors on a regular basis. Many of our employees have also been personally touched by the disease," said Julie Tvrz, executive director of Texas Home Health."

To kick off the month long awareness campaign, they held a party with door prizes for a survivor and a drawing for employees won by Amber Napier.
