Doris Turner McAdams

Mrs. Doris T. McAdams, 84, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Baptist Hospital.

She was a native of Fostoria, Texas; born on July 20, 1923 to parents Aaron Turner and Fannie Evans Turner. She had lived in the Beaumont area for more than 60 years. She was a very active member of the Woodland Baptist Church and she was a member of WMU. She also volunteered a lot of time at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. McAdams was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, Clarence Julian "Bear" McAdams.

She is survived by her sons, Gerald McAdams and wife Janice of Brookeland, TX, Steve McAdams and wife Kathy of Beaumont; brother, Louie Turner and wife Sue of San Antonio, TX; sister, Gladys Johnson of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Kenneth McAdams and wife Melanie, Brent McAdams and wife Vanessa, Megan McAdams, Vanessa Wintner and husband Gregg, Rodney Young and wife Kristie, and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Woodland Baptist Church in Beaumont, with Rev. Jim Sliger officiating. A burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
