Reader displeased with murder story

A recent news article drew my attention. A very large print 'Man Dies Over $10.00.' I am very displeased reading this article.

The reason is, no one considered the hurting mother of this young man. I have been there with this mother throughout her loss.

This mother had not viewed her son's body, in order to prepare for his homegoing. Look what she had to hear and see in the newspaper.

Also city officials, a public view, no official ever arrived at the mother's home to properly acknowledge to her the loss of her son. She kept waiting, no one showed up. Respect of person will never get us anywhere in life.

I feel this mother and family deserve a public apology. This is my view of the situation. We all have loved ones. All of us have certainly lost a loved one before.

This is devastation to any mother who lost a child, especially to have to read such an article. Think about it, let's view;

• Did I think before I took the story?

• Could we have showed respect to the hurting mother?

• I made a mistake, I will view the story carefully?

• Someone from the City Official should have properly acknowledged her loss.

• Did we offend anyone?

• Citizens, we do apologize. What is your view? Mine is all of the above.
