Students of the week
Britian Betz, a seventh grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for Oct. 16-19. "Britian is a very focused student. Her grades are very important to her and she puts the extra time and effort into every assignment to achieve her goals," said teacher Jodi Hindman. "She is a pleasure to have in my classroom. Britian is very deserving of this achievement." Betz enjoys singing, writing, and acting during her spare time. Her favorite subject is English. She is the daughter of Sharon Applegate. Jasper High School Tokoia Watts, senior at Jasper High School, has been selected as student of the week for Oct. 15- 19. "Tokoia is an excellent academic student and involved in cheerleading. Tokoia seeks to be the best that she can be," said teacher Kenneth Simmons. "When she walks into a room, it is always with a big smile. Her work habits are like her personality, both are great."
