Eagles roll past Shelbyville 42-13
By JIMMY GALVAN Managing Editor

Woodville entered the halftime break leading Shelbyville 21-0 but head coach Steve Fentress wasn't happy.

"We had a little motivation speech at halftime to get everybody back on track," Fentress said. "We scored the third play of the game and then we got the ball back and scored again and it just looked like we were out there playing around.

"It was sloppy at first," Fentress said. "We were just not playing Woodville football. We were just not playing real good at that time and that bothered me. We were taking for granted that we were playing somebody that we should beat and not playing good."

Fentress' speech must have worked wonders because the Eagles scored on the first play of the second half en route to the easy 42-13-district victory.

Senior Adam Rigsby carried the load for the Eagles as he rushed the ball 26 times for 267 yards and three touchdowns.

Overall, Woodville churned out 511 offensive yards.

Eric Davis and Jarvis Barlow collected touchdown receptions while Stephen Williams rushed for another score.

Freshman place-kicker Taylor Rhorer was six-forsix on PATs and improved to 20-for-20 on the season PATs.

Defensively, the Eagles played another strong contest in limiting the Dragons to only two plays over 20 yards in the contest.

"It was a well-executed game on our part," Fentress said.
