Rangers devise devilish surprises

Beware the de-ranged rangers, monsters, ghoulies and assorted creepies on the "Haunted Trail" in Martin Dies Jr. State Park this Saturday, Oct. 27.

The rangers, at least the sane ones, have arranged a guided walk beginning at 6 p.m. in the Hen House unit.

Survivors of the hike can enjoy games and activities with prizes, and for a $1 donation, the park is offering a hot dog, soda and marshmallows to roast over a roaring campfire.
