Mary Ann Parker Hall
Mary Ann was born in Port Arthur, Texas and grew up in Nederland, Texas. She was valedictorian of Nederland High School in 1949 and attended Abilene Christian College in 1949- 1951. Mary Ann married Robert James Hall in 1950 and lived briefly in Dallas and El Paso before making her home in Jasper, Texas from 1956-1999. While in Jasper, Mary Ann was a charter member of the Jasper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was also named an Outstanding Young Woman in America in 1980. Mary Ann and Robert moved to Abilene in 1999. Mary Ann was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ. Mary Ann was an outstanding cook, seamstress, artist, wife, mother, and scholar of the Bible. She was an avid bridge player and member of the Mabel Lilius Bridge Center and had achieved Life Master status in 2005. Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents, W. A. and Nora Parker, and her grand-daughter, Melody Claire Hall. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Robert James Hall of Abilene; her four children and spouses, Dianne and Greg Palmer of Brandon, Mississippi; Stuart and Hope Hall of Grapevine, Texas; Kitty and Gene Wasemiller of Abilene; and Shannon Hall of Houston, Texas; and 9 grandchildren, Jennifer and Joel Cameron of Cordova, Tennessee; Amy Palmer and Emily Palmer of Brandon, Mississippi; Erin Parker Hall of Ypsilanti, Michigan; Ashley and Bradley Hall of Grapevine, Texas; Kurt and Kayla Wasemiller, Kris and Amanda Wasemiller, and Kate Wasemiller of Abilene, Texas. The family is especially appreciative to Hendrick Hospice 7th Floor and the very caring staff. We also deeply appreciate the skill and compassion of Dr. Mark Reedy and Ginger Fabrizio |
