Getting it straight

The Jasper Newsboy report on a double stabbing that occurred Oct. 14 incorrectly reported the status of the two men involved.

Waylon Brawley, 18, of Kirbyville did stab Allen Stone, 23, and Cherie Lavertue, 22, both of Buna, but Brawley is the current boyfriend, and Stone is the ex-boyfriend and father of the couple's child, and the stabbing occurred on Stone's property.

The Jasper Newsboy regrets any inconvenience inadvertently caused by the mistake.
