Baxter engaged to wed Hawk

Michael and Sherryl Baxter of Buna announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Michelle Baxter of Buna, to Scott Mitchell Hawk of Silsbee.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gene and Barbara LaFleur of Buna, Everitt and Dean Baxter of Vidor, and Patricia Baxter of Lumberton.

The groom-elect is the son of Tom and Gail Hawk of Silsbee. He is the grandson of Jack Cullison of Burkburnett, the late Chris Cullison, and Philip and Martha Hawk of Silverton.

The wedding is set for June 28, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Silsbee. The reception will follow at The Barn in Kountze.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Buna High School. She is currently a senior at Sam Houston State University in, Huntsville.

The groom-elect is a 2004 graduate of Buna High School. He is currently a senior at Lamar University in Beaumont studying for a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a teaching certification through grade 12. He is currently a student minister at Liberty Baptist Church in Bridge City.
