Jasper Junior High School celebrates Red Ribbon Week
      Jasper Junior High School held a poster contest during Red Ribbon Week. First place winner used the theme, "I've Got Better Things to do than Drugs" and it was awarded to Berenice Villalpando. She was awarded a $50 savings bond that was donated by The First National Bank in Jasper.

JHS group shines at marching contest

      The Jasper High School band earned a Superior rating from all three judges at the marching contest Oct. 20, at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. Director Jeff Parma said that while they hoped to receive all 1's from the judges, their goal was to do their best.
