Jasper Junior High School celebrates Red Ribbon Week Jasper Junior High School held a poster contest during Red Ribbon Week. First place winner used the theme, "I've Got Better Things to do than Drugs" and it was awarded to Berenice Villalpando. She was awarded a $50 savings bond that was donated by The First National Bank in Jasper. Second place winner was Kyanna Slaydon, third place winner was Mandi Hinson, and Brittany Detwiler and Chardeshia Meyers received honorable mention. These winners received ribbons, calculators and other prizes with drug free slogans. All students participated in dressing for theme days during the week to show their spirit in the fight against drugs. They even wore bracelets that had the slogan, "Drugs are Not Cool" on them. |
