Agreements reached on eight cases Eight cases were settled by plea agreements or waivers of indictment in District Judge Joe Bob Golden's court Nov. 9. Aaron Hupp, 31, of Brookeland pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and received eight years at the Texas Ddepartment of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). James Stark, 23, of Buna pleaded guilty to burglary and received one year state jail. Matthew Cade, 22, of Jasper pleaded guilty to robbery and received seven years TDCJ probated for seven years; $2,500 fine; $236 court cost and attorney fee; 240 hours of community service. As a condition of probation, he is required to attend re-hab at SAFPF (Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility). Brandon Bryant, 22, of Hemphill pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation and received five years deferred probation; $2,00 fine; $233 court costs and attorney fee; 240 hours community service. Natasha Jacks, 22, of Jasper, waived indictment on forgery and received two years state jail, probated three years; $1,500 fine; $236 court cost; $123 restitution; 120 hours community service. Brandon Brush, 25, of Jasper waived indictment on burglary of a building and received two years deferred probation; $1,000 fine; $236 court costs; $307.20 restitution; 120 community service. Christopher Eastwood, 35, of Zavalla waived indictment on possession of a controlled substance and received five years TDCJ probated for five years; $2,500 fine; $227 court costs; $140 restitution; 180 community service. Chad A. Britt, 20, of Dayton, waived indictment on burglary of a habitation and received 10 years TDCJ probated for 10 years; $2,500 fine; $236 court costs; $1,580 restitution; 240 hours community service. MTRP/MTAG The district attorney's office also reports three cases of motion to revoke probation and motion to adjudicate guilt: George L. Brown, 25, of Jasper received three years TDCJ on second degree robbery. Kezia Grimble, 28, of Jasper, received two years TDCJ on third degree possession of marijuana. Walter Oliver, 28, of Orange received five years TDCJ on second degree arson. |
